Move and Blessing

These are my two girls. Aren't they beautiful! Aliyah was blessed on our Anniversary. Michelle and her mom made the dress.

We're off on another adventure. Aliyah was such a good baby as we made the two-day move from Oklahoma City, OK to Syracuse, UT. It was hard to leave. My dad flew out, met Aliyah for the first time, and was so kind to drive the truck the whole way, allowing Michelle, Aliyah, and me to ride together.

We have such special memories from this little apartment. We wouldn't trade our experience in Oklahoma for anything else. Moreover, we are bringing back to Utah the best souvenir: our Oklahoman baby!

We visited the Oklahoma Capitol while making the last of our tourist visits.

This was one last visit to my school and campus. Behind us is the Goldstar Law Library. The bulk of my time--studying--was spent there. Sitting with Michelle and Aliyah was far more relaxing. What a relief to have the first year of law school all done! I hope to be transferring schools. We are applying to the U of U, BYU, and some schools around D.C.

It was so nice to attend church with the temple across the parking lot. There are such good people in Oklahoma.

Trying to make the last of our outings, this botanical garden in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City was very pretty.

What a beautiful blessing dress--and it fits her so well!

I made Kate's blessing dress too. It was supposedly a 0-3 month size dress, but it was HUGE on her. To be fair, we blessed her at home when she was 6 days old (just before we moved to NY), so it would have been big anyway. But, we actually have a picture of her wearing it at 18 months too, and Kate was no pocket-rocket either.

Hey Jeffery and Michelle!

I didn't know you guys were moving! I'm glad you're safe! Aliyah can say she was born in a different state, amazing!

To reply; yes, law interests me a lot. We had the Iron County attorney come talk to us and I wish I could have talked to him all day. This may sound corny, but justice means a lot to me and serving it feels great. I think that's why I like Law & Order so much. Even if it's not the same, when the bad guy goes to prison, it feels good inside. There are a lot of bad people in this world and it matters to me that they are caught. I think it's so great and admirable that Jeffery is becoming a lawyer. I also find it amazing that you thought you'd never be in law. That helps me a little. I thought I knew what I wanted to go into, but a spark of interest of something else is changing my mind and now I have no clue what I want to do or where to go!!

Take care!
