Aliyah Kaye is 3! She has been looking forward to this birthday for the past few months. We had a fun day celebrating her birthday. She woke up to find the house decorated, a princess birthday poster, and a princess balloon. We had breakfast cake (coffee cake) for breakfast (her favorite).
We then went to the library for reading time (St Patrick's Day stories) and then stopped at the store quickly to pick up some milk. While we were there, she was delighted to see a birthday cake displayed there. She was excited that the store knew it was her birthday! We had fun looking at Princess birthday cards at the store too. (Including all the musical ones!) She could spend hours looking at cards if she could.
When we got home, she helped me make her cake. She's been asking to help me make her birthday cake for the past week! She got to lick out the bowl when we were done too.
Aliyah was so talkative all day long. She just was bursting with excitement and kept telling me she was 3 years old now!
It was hard to get her to take her nap, but she finally fell asleep and that's when I decorated for dinner and finished her cake.
Aliyah woke up and was so anxious for Daddy to come home. Luckily he was able to leave work a little early to come home to celebrate.
She opened her presents as soon as Daddy got home.
She had been wanting a Blue Aurora dress, but Disney doesn't make them. They only make pink Aurora dresses. So I had to get a little creative and made this blue Aurora dress from my old prom dress. Aliyah LOVED it!!!

We went for a walk after our dinner of Aliyah's favorite foods: Macaroni and Cheese, peas and carrots, applesauce with mini marshmallows, and strawberry milk.
When we got back, Grandpa and Grandma Thomson, Jayce and Jenny stopped by quickly to sing Happy Birthday and to give Aliyah a present and a cupcake.
Then it was time for cake. Aliyah had been wanting a pink cake with Aurora wearing a blue dress. She loved the cake (especially since she now had a blue dress too)!
