August 19-24, 2012
Jeff had a week long prosecutor training meeting in Logan, Utah and we were able to go along!
We were able to stay at the University Inn on campus! I had walked by it many times as a student and now here I was actually staying there as a guest with my family!
I didn't know how the girls would do with a week in a hotel, but we had so much fun, it was hard to leave!
We played puzzles
Played on beds, around beds, and all over!
We went for walks on campus.
I never imagined that 10 years later, I would be walking USU campus with my two cute girls!
Old Main
(Aliyah kept calling it the "A" building and we went there everyday because it was the girls favorite to explore).
We had picnic lunches with Daddy during his lunch breaks.
On Monday night we ate dinner at Angies.
While at the hotel, we watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney Channel every morning and the girls quickly picked up on the "Hot Dog" song and would sing it often.

This picture makes me laugh - Aliyah by beautiful pink flowers, Hailey in the background, picking flowers and going for a handful of dirt to eat!
Aliyah found this bike stand and said it was her Prince. She grabbed the side and started dancing. Quite the imagination!

Aliyah loved being able to push the elevator buttons and volunteered to help every time we need to use it.

After Jeff's classes on Tuesday we went to Willow Park Zoo
They had more animals than I remember.
We saw some Emu
And an albino porcupine!
Afterwards we went to The Bluebird restaurant and had a yummy dinner and even some of their famous chocolates for dessert.

We went swimming on Wednesday - the water was really cold, but soon the girls had a great time.
And that evening after dinner at Costa Vida, we went to the Logan Temple.
We then went to get some famous "Aggie Ice Cream"
The Hotel we stayed at gave us tokens for free ice-cream!
YUM! We enjoyed every bite!
On Thursday we did some more walks on campus

One of the class rooms in Old Main ("The A Building") that I used to have a class in. It was fun to see the girls get excited and sit down in the desks. They loved sitting there.

That day Jeff got done with his classes early and his Mom came up to watch the girls so we could attend the Logan temple. It was nice to spend the time with my handsome husband!
After the temple, we went to the annual prosecutor's training BBQ in Logan Canyon. We had a nice dinner and girls loved playing outside. We were able to visit with a few people Jeff had met that week in classes.

The girls and I loved that we could enjoy the week together - no interruptions - just us and lots of playing.
I loved that there was no house work, laundry, dishes and that we could spend the week as a family.
Jeff learned a lot, but at the end of the week was glad to be done with his classes. He enjoyed the evenings with us and exploring Logan. It was nice that his work paid for all of it too!
We really enjoyed our mini vacation!!!
