Arrowheads and the Thinker

We took advantage of Jeff's day off of school on Monday (Civil Rights Day) and headed to DC. We went to the Native American Smithsonian first and saw neat artifacts including arrowheads, pottery from hundreds of years BC, and gold that wasn't taken by conquistadors. (Doesn't this remind you of Disney's Emperor's New Groove?)
Statue of George Washington and Native American chiefs sculpted by an artist from St. George, Utah.

It was beautiful weather (the upper 50's). We loved being out!

We then headed to the National Gallery of Art. They had some famous paintings and sculptures. They also had a few things that reminded us of the Night at the Museum -Battle of the Smithsonians.
