On this particular Memorial Day we visited some of the military memorials. This is the U.S. Air Force Memorial, just outside Arlington Cemetery.
We then drove over to the Pentagon to see the Pentagon Memorial, honoring those who died in the September 11 attack on the Pentagon.
Afterwards, we returned home and had ice-cream with Orange cream topping in homemade waffle cones. It was a very hot and humid day, so the ice-cream was a deliciously refreshing treat.
We are very grateful for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, giving their last full measure of devotion so that our little ones can enjoy that precious thing we call Liberty. Hopefully we can resolve to be more fully dedicated and devoted to that same cause.

Wow, I did not know there was a memorial, like you say, it makes you feel so lucky and so proud to live in a country like this. So sad so many people had to lose their lives that day over a couple of selfish people.
