Valentine's Day

It was Aliyah's first Valentine's day! A day full of love and gratitude for family! We had a fun dinner of Lasagna, muffins, peas, and a yummy berry pie for dessert. (Jeff got me that pretty yellow rose in the picture for Valentines!)

Jeff's family has a tradition for Valentine's Day involving the Valentine Man. Each year the Valentine Man knocks on the door and then disappears, leaving a gift at the door for the children. This year the Valentine Man left a cute princess necklace for Aliyah. She loves it! She was so excited to hear a knock on the door and then to open the door to find the necklace sitting there. She picked it up and gave it to me to have me open it. It's so fun that she is old enough to start to catch onto things!

Here's a picture of the pie. The before:
The after (well, after the baking. There's not much to show after the eating!)
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Your pie looks great! Good job. I'll have to have you teach me how to make a good pie. I'm terrible at it.
