...To spend President's Day than celebrating and learning about George Washington!
We went to Mount Vernon (home of George Washington) for President's day. We spent a few hours in the museum (which is very good and very interesting! We highly recommend it! It even has his dentures!). We were surprised that it wasn't very crowded in the museum that morning especially since it was free in honor of President's Day. The line was pretty long though to go inside the home, so we decided we would just come back again when the weather is warmer.
This is the view from the backyard! It's the Potomac River. Maryland is on the other side. I would love to look out to this everyday!

What a fun thing to do to celebrate! I would love to tour every home and museum..
I just LOVE history!
We loved going to Mt Vernon! It looks so pretty with all of the snow! It looks like you had a lot of fun!
I love that you get out and see the sights where you live. You have inspired me. I forget that I can take my family on just a day trip and see GREAT things (that other people travel to see). We don't have to plan a week long vacation and go across the country. Thanks!
P.S. Aliyah is so beautiful!
