Labor Day - Burke Lake

Our friends have all told us how great Burke Lake Park was. We decided to go there for Labor Day. We definitely have to agree, what a fun place! It was like a camping/lake/park/playground area. It had a little train, ice-cream parlor, volleyball pits, picnic areas, camping sites, hiking trails, and a lake. With all the trees, it felt like we were in the mountains! It was great.

We had Hobo dinners there - YUM!

We had fun hiking the trails (Aliyah found every rock and stick on the path)
We played on one of the playgrounds
We saw the lake and chased the geese

It's definitely a place we'd like to go back to. We miss the mountains in Utah and going there helped give us our "camping fix".

Aliyah wanted to drive home - don't worry, we didn't let her go far.
She loves keys and wants to open any and every door. She also wanted to put them in the car for us. We have created her own set of keys, but somehow she knows that they aren't the real ones.

That place looks so pretty and a lot of fun. I loved how there was a play ground in all that wilderness.

Marcus loves keys as much as Aliyah. His favorite thing to do is carry our car keys around for HOURS at a time. Holding the actual car key in his hand as if ready to start the ignition. I made him his own (2) set(s) of keys as well, and they do work, so when he wants to have the "real" keys, I can still drive the car.

And Burke Lake does look amazing.
