On Saturday, October 16, we all went to Cox Farms in Centreville. It was sooo much fun! It was such a great family activity. All of us really enjoyed our visit there. It was a working farm that they decorated for Halloween and called it their "Fall Festival". They had animals, slides, popcorn, a 20 min hayride, a corn maze, apples and apple cider, pumpkins, and lots to see and do.
Our first slide of the day
I love her cheesy grin in the flower. She knew what to do in these cut out things!
They had fun areas for Aliyah to climb and play in. (Tunnels, bridges, barns, trains, etc!)
Sliding with Daddy
Aliyah trying to drive the tractor
This was their longest slide. It was so much fun!
Aliyah wanted to "touch" all the animals.
Our little "Cinderella"
I wish this picture was bigger so you can see Aliyah's grin. She loved the "Castle" slide!
"Moo"
Aliyah "touching" the calf
Our farmer "Daddy"
Going through the corn maze
When Aliyah saw these big, yellow chairs, she got so excited, ran up to one of them and tried to climb up it. She kept telling me she wanted to sit on it. She looks so little on such a big chair, but her smile and excitement was huge!
My favorite - fresh apple cider (and it was free!) YUM! We went back a few times during the day
Aliyah and Mommy and our sticks
Aliyah was nervous when she first saw the rabbit and just wanted to watch him from a distance. After a few minutes she thought the rabbit was great and grabbed our camera and started to follow him saying she wanted a "picture" of the rabbit. I was trying not to laugh as I watched her chase the rabbit with the camera in her hand! It was so cute! I caught up, took the camera and gave it to Jeff so we could get a "picture" by the rabbit. She loved the rabbit and played with him for quite awhile.
As you leave, you get to pick out a pumpkin to take home with you. Here are Aliyah and Daddy picking out their pumpkins.
Here is the one Aliyah picked out, or so we thought...
As we put that one in our stroller to take home, Aliyah disappeared around the corner. We started to panic as we couldn't see her. Just then, she came around the other side trying to carry this pumpkin! This is the one she picked out.
We loved Cox Farms! What a fun day!
On the way out to the car, Aliyah wanted to "touch" the goats. (We had parked near the goat area). The little goats came right up to her. Aliyah picked some grass to try to feed the goats. The lady on the other side saw that she was having fun with them and gave her some real goat food to feed them. Aliyah loved this! It was hard to get her to leave. We all had a hard time leaving. It was so fun to spend the day together there.
