We have had a couple of snow storms here in Virginia. We loved discovering the snow with Aliyah. Here are a few pictures of her first snow storm. 
Blizzard 2009
Our second snow storm is going on right now. It actually is record breaking! Since last night, we have received almost 2 feet of snow, which is a lot for this area, shutting everything down. The metro was shut down, church is cancelled, there was a run on grocery stores (for emergency food before the snow hit) and now some of the stores are closed. We are snowed in, but we have enjoyed our snow day and Aliyah has loved watching the snow come down.

The snow was too deep for her, so we just played on our patio.
She liked it until she realized how cold it was!
This reminds us of Decembers in Utah! We were dreaming of a White Christmas!
