Oh, what do you do in the summertime when all Virginia is hot and humid?
Do you swim in a pool to keep yourself cool?
Our pool is now open the full day! Yay, more swim time! Aliyah and I had fun playing on the steps in the pool, splashing and kicking, and watching the big kids swim around.
Do you eat your first ice-cream cone?
(Don't worry, it's not her first ice-cream, it's just her first full out ice-cream cone!) She loved it and after eating almost the whole thing by herself, she asked for more!
Do you enjoy a good book in the shade?
(Aliyah is in the stage where she likes to do whatever we are doing, eat whatever we are eating, etc! This picture is a perfect example that she is always watching! Notice how she has everything the same - a chair like Daddy, a book like Daddy... what a cute, observant, little girl!)

Like Father like Daughter! I love that stage! You also have to remember to watch what you say and do cause they pick up on everything! So fun!!

I cannot believe how big Aliyah is now. She is so cute. I am glad you are having so much fun. I miss living close to you.
Our summer is pretty quiet this year, though we are doing a lot of activities and projects together in the house until the cooler, less muggy weather returns. Jon is working like crazy right now -- we miss him.
That's so awesome that you have a swimming pool so close by! I bet that's really nice!
It sounds like a fun summer. We are hoping to go swimming to but as it is finding an affordable roof to put over our heads is the first priority. :)
