Visit to Utah

We were very blessed to be able to visit our families during the last week of December. We really enjoyed our time there and are very grateful for our wonderful families and all they do for us.
We flew out to Utah on Christmas Day. Aliyah was excited to fly on an airplane. She had hoped to ride on a pink one, but was content with the blue one we actually flew on. On our way to the plane she told everyone she saw that she was going on an airplane. She did really well on the flight, but as we were landing she told me she was "all done airplane." We felt the same! Happily, our flight arrived two hours earlier than had originally been expected. The Thomsons were at the airport to greet us with hugs and a welcome sign. When we got to their home we had dinner and exchanged presents.

Sunday, Dec 26, we were able to go visit Great Grandma Thomson (Jeff's Grandma). All of her children were there. We were grateful to see everyone there, especially when Uncle Tom (Jeff's Uncle) passed away shortly thereafter.

After visiting with Great Grandma and the family, we headed to S.L.C. to see the lights at Temple Square. Aliyah and Aunt Jenny took a nap on the way down.

Temple Square is just so beautiful with all the lights and the temple. Aliyah loved both.

On Monday, Dec 27, we went to the Sorensens. Kimberly and Arianne were home from college and Mark, Sabrina, Vanessa, and Owen stayed the night so that we could all enjoy the time together. Amanda and Solomon were in Hawaii and were missed. We had a dinner, visited, played, and opened presents.

Grandpa and Grandma (and Owen).

The kids had a lot of fun playing playdough that night.

They also loved going up and down and up and down the stairs with Grandma and Aunt Laura.

Tickle time with Daddy

The next day Great Grandpa and Grandma Carter stopped by to give us Christmas hugs. It was so nice to see everyone!

Tuesday, Dec 28, we returned to the Thomsons. Heather was able to come over a few times during the week so that we could visit with her and play with Lacey and Galen. We had a lot of fun!

It snowed while we were there in Utah. We let Aliyah play in the snow for a little bit.

Her favorite thing was eating the snow. (As you can tell from all the pictures!)

During the week with the Thomsons, we were able to enjoy visiting, playing games, and seeing Tangled (Aliyah loved it and actually sat through the whole thing!); we also saw Voyage of the Dawn Treader, colored on the chalkboard, played fooseball, and ate at Red Lobster (I had chicken, and it was delicious!). Jeff and I were blessed to be able to go to the temple, too, and Aliyah enjoyed playing with everyone (and with Jayce's Legos). We had such a great time!

What a fun visit to Utah! Thank you to our families for making Christmas last an extra week. It was wonderful to see everyone again. We love you and miss you!
